Individual parts become assemblies: we manufacture welded structures up to 14 × 3 × 3.5 m and 10 tonnes per part — by hand or on three robotic welding stations, certified to EN 1090-2 EXC2 and DIN EN ISO 3834-2.

August Bertrams GmbH manufactures welded assemblies up to a size of 14 × 3 × 3.5 m and a maximum weight of 10 tonnes per part — in all weldable materials. We use MAG, MIG and TIG welding as well as spot, stud and resistance welding.

For load-bearing steel components we are certified to EN 1090-2:2018, execution class EXC2; our welding quality requirements meet DIN EN ISO 3834-2. Both certificates are available in the download area — exactly the documentation your purchasing department and your auditors want to see.

Everything for the assembly from a single source

Blanking, punching, laser cutting and bending of the individual parts happen in the same plant as the welding — positional tolerances and deadlines stay in one pair of hands. After joining, the assembly is coated on request (e-coat, powder or galvanized) and delivered ready to install.

How large may a welded assembly be?

Up to 14 × 3 × 3.5 m at a maximum of 10 tonnes per part. Robotic welding is possible up to 12 × 2.5 × 0.8 m.

Is Bertrams permitted to weld load-bearing steel components?

Yes. We are certified to EN 1090-2:2018 in execution class EXC2 and meet the welding quality requirements of DIN EN ISO 3834-2. Both certificates are available for download.

When does robotic welding pay off?

For recurring assemblies with consistent geometry — the reproducible seam quality and short cycle times pay off from medium series onwards. Whether your assembly is suitable is something we clarify at the enquiry stage.
